Drake Steals Music And Lies About It!

Oh no! Isn't the Cash Money dude suppose to be a lyrical genius?

Super famous rap star, Drake has been sued for stealing a 1982 jazz musician's lyrics and lying he got permission to do so.

The song is "Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music 2" which features Jay Z and appears on Drake's latest album. The song begins with a 35 second monologue from a 1982 song titled, Jimmy Smith Rap, recorded by jazz musician Jimmy Smith!

According to a new lawsuit from Jimmy Smith Estate, the Started From The Bottom rapper never got permission to use the record. Even worse, it represented in the liner notes that the clip was properly licensed, according to TMZ.

Well, sadly Jimmy Smith is dead but his family is insisting that NO PERMISSION was given nor did anybody ever ask for it. They are now going after Drake, his label, Cash Money Records and a bunch of others and reports say that suit is looking towards 300,000 US dollars!
