Famous Jeweller Sues Rapper For Duplicating His Design!

When did Drake become a bling thief? He’s now saying I didn’t steal, I just copied!

Grammy award winner Drake has been accused of theft! A famous New York jeweller, Michael Raphael dished a lawsuit to the star for duplicating his $50,000 diamond studded platinum owl pendant. Now the rapper says, he didn’t steal, he only copied history!

The rapper claims he’s the victim of a pyramid scheme but Raphael of Baden Baden, Inc. claims he created a $50K diamond studded platinum owl pendant for Drake - based on a logo he's been using for years, according to TMZ. The jeweller also claimed Drizzy went off to create replicas of the pendant ... thus the lawsuit!

According to Drake’s legal documents obtained yesterday, the jeweller does not OWN the design after all. He claims the Pharaohs of Egypt do because according to him, it’s based on the ancient Egyptian hieroglyph which is a symbol that has existed for over 5,000 years. The rapper is also claiming that the owl hieroglyph – a pictographic symbol for the letter ‘M’ – cannot be copyrighted! Indirectly, Drake is asking the court to dismiss the jeweller's case because his case is bogus. Guys, what do you think of this? Did Drake steal the design or not?
