A pregnant Zimbabwe woman,

It was gathered that the woman who is from Harare, decided to take her life after married man of the robe, a pastor with the United Methodist Church (UMC), refused to accept  responsibility for her pregnancy.

The Manicaland Province Police spokesperson, Inspector Tavhiringwa Kakohwa, who confirmed the incident, said the incident took place on the morning of Wednesday, November 16, 2016, the the Muzokomba area of the province.

The police spokesman said that Muzonde, a resident of Vito Street National, Mbare, drank the poisonous substance after the pastor identified as Tailor Matare, rejected her and the pregnancy.

Inspector Kakohwa said that Muzonde had travelled from Harare to Muzokomba to inform Matare lover about the pregnancy but the pastor denied being responsible, which caused an argument between the pair.

The following day, Muzonde went to Muzokomba shopping centre and bought an unknown pesticide and on her way home, sent a message to Pastor Matare, informing him of her intention to kill herself.

Matare and a friend then rushed to his house only to meet her unconscious and rushed her to a hospital where she was confirmed dead.
