The Latino pop star is hoping her country Columbia gets to the final of the world football tournament

Shakira has been billed to perform her La La La (Brazil 2014) sports anthem at the closing ceremony of the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Latino pop star, who is dating Spanish soccer player Gerard Pique, is hoping her country Columbia makes it to the finale of the competition after beating Uruguay to progress to the tournament's quarter final stage.

Shakira is one of those artists who has been flying the World Cup flag from day one; taking a flag-based selfie and requesting fans to #daretodream by supporting their various countries at the tournament.

Now, the Barranquilla born beauty will be performing in the Maracan Stadium after the new champions are crowned, according to Columbia's El Espectador.
