Jay Z To Headline The Global Citizen Festival In September!

The rapper will use music to help children have better welfare.

Jay Z is billed to headline this year's Global Citizen Festival to hold in New York's Central Park in September, organizers announced Wednesday.

The festival is organized to coincide with the United Nations General Assembly meeting to put pressure on world leaders to address the need for poverty alleviation.

Also to perform are talents like Fun, Carrie Underwood, The Roots, No Doubt and Tiesto.

Tickets are reportedly free for the event, but must be earned through acts meant to help end extreme poverty around the world.

Others like Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and John Mayer headlined the festival last year. Meanwhile, Neil Young, Foo Fighters and the Black Keys performed in 2012, when the festival debuted.
