An 11-year-old boy in Echararia village, Nakuru County in Kenya, was beaten to death by his siblings for allegedly losing a phone belonging to one of them, the Kenyan Standard reports.
It was gathered that an older sister colluded with another brother to beat the boy identified as Brian Mayieka, to death after they gave him a phone to go and charge in a neighbour's house.
But the boy, on his way, met his friends playing and joined them. In the process, the phone got missing and on getting home, he reported the mater to the sister who got angry, claiming that he had sold the phone.
Together with the elder brother, the lady is said to have descended on the minor and tied his limbs with ropes. The two reportedly rained blows on him for almost three hours before hitting him with a metallic object leading to his death.
Confirming the incident, the Nakuru County Police Commander, Hassan Barua, said the woman escaped after committing the act but police had trailed her to make an arrest.
“With our intelligence, we have managed to trace the whereabouts of the suspect who escaped immediately the incident happened and a team has been sent to arrest her,” Barua said.
