Recovered body not that of deceased doctor
Chinyere Orji was called in to identify the body recovered from the Lagoon and confirmed that it is not her son, Dr Orji Allwell.
The body which was recovered on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, by the Marine Policemen after a 24-hour search, is not the body of the deceased doctor, Punch reports.
The Zone 2 Police Command Spokesperson, SP Dolapo Badmos said, “The mother has come to identify the body recovered, but she said the deceased was not her son.”
Meanwhile, Mrs. Orji insists that her 35-year-old son, who is the first of her three children, is not dead, as she prays that he will be found alive.
A friend of the deceased who pleaded anonymity, sent an email to Linda Ikeji's Blog, throwing some light on the reality the deceased face.
Dr. Allwell was described as a sickler who suffered seizures, forcing him to become antisocial.
It was also reported that the deceased had previously attempted suicide and was kept on close watch after that, although some friends of his say he never showed signs of depression.
