“When I was a shawty, all I wanted to do was music, I wanted it so bad, that I got it so good. Once I got it so good, I kind of got it so bad, because that’s the nature of the gift,” explained Robert. “Some people are talented, and some people are gifted. I would like to be known as one of the people that are gifted.”
It is obvious R. Kelly has refused to be seen as one of those ‘old school adult contemporary’ singers so “Black Panties” is going to be a collection of sex, fun, broke, women and survival. Most of all Robert says his new work is a ‘chest-beating shot across the bow to his critics.’
“I don’t want to leave a fingerprint because it’s about to be a murder,” Kelly boasted before playing cuts off the upcoming project, which they labeled as “ballsy” and “bawdy.”
After the R&B King’s last two albums (2010’s ‘Love Letter’ and 2012’s ‘Write Me Back’) playing out as a journey across past decades such as the ’60s and ’70s, he is not going to let any doubters bury him once again, Robert has three brand new urban videos on standby: My Story, Throw Money on You and F**k ya’ll.
