According to reports, some members of the National Assembly have been forced to scale the fence of their complex after the entrance was barred by armed security personnel.
The officers, consisting of Secret Service agents and policemen, were reportedly deployed to the building to prevent the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal from gaining entry.
The House is due to reconvene for a special sitting today to discuss the proposed extension of emergency rule in Yobe, Adamawa and Borno states.
