Justin Bieber pleaded not guilty to DUI charges in Miami yesterday but now he faces more charges in his home country Canada for assaulting a limousine driver back in December 2013. The Believe singer took off for Toronto same yesterday to turn himself in at the 52 Division of the Toronto Police Department to face his troubles.
Bieber was charged on Wednesday for his alleged involvement in a December 30 altercation with a driver who picked up the pop star and his entourage from a Toronto nightclub. The charge is yet another in a string of recent run-ins with the law, but if Bieber is convicted of assault, federal law allows that the 19-year-old Canadian could very well be deported and banned from working in the United States.
The singer reportedly arrived at the 52 Division of the Toronto police department, Wednesday evening, to face charges claiming he assaulted the limo driver amidst media frenzy but reports say he looked less than penitent and repeatedly hid his face with a ball cap and winter coat he had on.
Although, it was initially reported that it was a member of Bieber's entourage who assaulted the driver, now, the investigation has taken a turn straight toward the Biebs himself on the very same day he denied he was drunk behind the wheel of a yellow Lamborghini in Florida last week.
Representatives for Justin released the following statement on Wednesday evening: 'The Toronto Police Service requested that Justin Bieber appear in Toronto today to face an allegation of assault relating to an incident on December 29, 2013.' And yes, he showed up but what will the verdict be?
It is the latest in a string of charges against Biebs. Earlier this month his home was searched after neighbors complained of a $20,000 egg fight and last week he got arrested on a DUI charge while allegedly drag racing in Miami.
As we earlier reported, his mentor Usher, manager Scooter Braun and his mother were in Panama on Monday – where he was shooting a video for his new song Confident – to talk some sense into him. Question is; were they able to get through to him?
More on Bieber's deportation call still goes on. Stay with us!
