The gay community from Nigeria, with the leader, Rev. Jide Macaulay, has been battling the Federal Government to legalize same-sex marriage since President Goodluck Jonathan passed the law banning homosexuality and lesbianism in the country.
Rev. Macaulay and his group has been campaigning for the law to repealed while urging the United States of America and the Western countries to mount pressure on Nigeria to lift the ban as well recognizing their rights to get married.
Few weeks ago, the gay community threatened to take the country to the International Court of Justice to compel Nigeria to be sanctioned.
