Driver docked for reckless driving
For driving recklessly and knocking down a pedestrian, a driver has been docked in a Chief Magistrate court in Ibadan.
Adekoya, of unknown address, is facing a two-count charge of dangerous driving and causing fracture to the victim.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Sunday Fatola, told the court that the accused drove a Honda space bus in a dangerous manner, leaving the pedestrian with a fractured leg.
Fatola said that the accused on Nov. 18 at Podo, Ibadan knocked down one Taye Adegoke, 60, and caused fracture to his right leg.
The offences contravened Sections 4 (1) and 23 Cap 142 and 148 of the Road Traffic Act Vol. 5 Law of Oyo State 2000.
The accused pleaded not guilty.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Adebisi Abdullateef, granted the accused N100, 000 bail with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case to Jan. 17, 2017 for hearing.
