Israel Omowa, a senior police officer attached to the Ondo State Police Command, has been sent to the grave beyond by his wife, Wunmi, who allegedly stabbed him on the neck with a kitchen knife during a domestic quarrel.
The sad incident reportedly happened at the couple's residence at Olu street, off the Ilesa-Owo highway in Akure, the state capital, during a misunderstanding.

According to sources, the couple who had three children, had been having some issues they would not disclose to neighbours, though they had constant friction in their home, which culminated in the fatal fight which led to Wunmi who is said to be in her late 20s, stabbing her 36-year-old husband to death.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Femi Joseph, confirmed the incident, adding that Inspector Omowa died at a private hospital in Akure, after eh was rushed there by sympathizers after the wife stabbed him.
Joseph also disclosed that the woman has been arrested and investigations are ongoing to unravel the cause of the ugly murder.
