Chinese man commits suicide inside Lagos apartment

A 50-year-old Chinese national has been found dangling from a window in his Lagos apartment in an apparent suicide.

The body of Guicai, according to the Lagos State Police Command, was found dangling from the window of his apartment at the Itohan Avenue, Ikeja area of the state, at about 9pm on Sunday, July 31, 2016.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Supol Dolapo Badmus, has confirmed the incident, adding that a team of police officers have visited and examined the scene of the act.

“One Si Guicai, a Chinese, allegedly hanged himself to the iron window in his room. A team of policemen attached to Man-Centre Division visited, examined and photographed the scene, while the corpse was removed and deposited at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, morgue for autopsy while investigation is ongoing.”
