The late Whitney Houston is about to be honoured with a movie but her family is angry about the idea stating that the singer is far better than a small screen.
Should Whitney Houston's Life Become A Movie?
Angela Bassett is said to direct, but singer's family says NO!
Whitney's family feud came after Lifetime Entertainment made the announcement last week that they are planning on a biopic for 2015, which will also mark Angela Bassett's directorial debut.
Close sources to the family claim the Houston estate is so upset they are considering a lawsuit to block that production. They also expressed displeasure to Lifetime and stated that they were NOT on board with a TV movie.
Funny thing is, the family is also planning their own movie for the big screen to honour the late Whitney before Lifetime’s announcement.Pat Houston mentioned to TMZ that, "Whitney is certainly worthy of more than a television movie. If Whitney were here today, this would not be happening."Lifetime has made no comment but we really have to ask: Given the fact that the late singer's films - The Bodyguard, Waiting To Exhale, The Preacher's Wife, Sparkle etc have been huge hits; Do you think Whitney Houston should have a movie (biopic)?
