The police in Lagos have arrested a couple suspected of perpetrating auction fraud to the tune of N20 million.
Danladi Wushishi and his wife, Ojuolape were said to have taken their victims to fake customs terminals under the pretense of having goods locked up and ready for sale.
However, once the unsuspecting victims had parted with the sum of money agreed upon, they would wait endlessly for the merchandise which would never arrive.
Before they were caught, the Wushishis had allegedly succeeded in duping one Mr. Livinus of N19 million while 2 other victims, Chinyere Uzorchukwu and Nkechi Anokwuru also lost money to the suspects.
