Lt. Mayowa Areago lost his life three days ago after graduating from the Nigerian Defence Academy in 2012 and being immediately deployed to the North.

One of his friends said:
“Please help us appeal to the government to give our military the right weapons to defend this nation. A lot of innocent people have died to defend you and I. I really want all Nigerians to celebrate this young, gallant, combatant Nigerian Army officer.”

Lt. Areago was killed in Borno State. May his soul rest in peace.
