Security guard burgles boss' house

A couple who took their security man as their brother has been rewarded with by the man in the most heinous manner.

A couple, Mr and Mrs Samuel Ekpesi, who thought they had employed a good security guard, Paul Onazi, to protect their property from thieves, have learnt the hard way that their man was actually their nemesis as he turned round to rob his employers of their car, a Toyota Camry, jewelries, and other valuables.

The couple who had provided a 28-year-old Benue State born Onazi, with an accommodation in their Gowon Estate, Egbeda, Lagos, home, were shocked to discover to their chagrin, that had absconded with their property on Sunday, 25 January, 2015, before they came back from church service.

In a report made to the police by the victims, Onazi, a 200 level undergraduate of the University of Lagos, whose admission was facilitated by his employers, had broken into the couples apartment and made away with foreign currencies, laptops and phones, among other valuables, valued at N9m.

The shocked couple told the police that they were astonished that Onazi who has been living with them for years, could commit such an act.

The police on its part, swung into action and were able to trace the culprit who was arrested and has been charged to the Ojokoro Magistrate's Court on a five count charge bordering on burglary and stealing.
