Ebony Life TV programme airs last episode today
After 4 years on air, The Spot on EbonyLife will air its last episode today.
"Hi guys, we've got news. Today's episode of The Spot will be the very last. We are so happy to have come this far with you guys. We love you all" tweeted the programme's official Twitter account.
Cynthia Okpala who is a producer at EbonyLife TV also announced the end of the show on her Instagram. "All good things come to an end!! For the good times..For the stress..To all the guests..For lessons learnt..For growth..
"For new Levels... Thank you! Thank you!. 4 years and 577 episodes after, Catch the final Episode of #TheSpot tonight on @ebonylifetv at 9pm WAT/ 10pm CAT" she wrote.
The Spot first aired in 2013 shortly after Ebony Life started transmitting. The show was initially hosted by Zainab Balogun, Lamide Akintobi and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
In November 2016, Ebuka left the show. The media personality stated that because of his daddy duties he won't be able to appear on 'The Spot' this season. In December 2016, actor Timini Egbuson was announced as a guest host on The Spot.
The Spot is a talk show but different from the usual format. It is more of a hangout, free-form talk show where the three hosts converse with their guests.
Celebrities who have appeared on the show include Banky W, Frank Donga, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, MI Abaga, Helen Paul, Olu Maintain, 9ice, Bovi and others.
