The sleepy Ozalla Automous Community in the Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State has been thrown into confusion and mourning after the dead bodies of a mother and her daughter were discovered inside a well, reports Daily Post.
The dead woman was identified as Uche Nweze while her daughter was identified as Ukamaka and though no one could tell how they both fell into the well, some are postulating that it could be a murder/suicide.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Ebere Amaraizu, has confirmed the incident, stating that four suspects have been arrested in connection with the case.
“Investigations have commenced into circumstances surrounding the death of the mother and her daughter with a view to finding out the possible cause.
No fewer than four suspects are helping the police in their investigations. Their corpses have been recovered and deposited at Zim Uzo Hospital Mortuary Igbo-Etiti for post mortem examination.”
