A married woman has told a court she wants a divorce because her husband injured her lover with a cutlass.

“My husband, Jimoh Ariyo, attacked my lover with a cutlass and injured him. I want the marriage dissolved because of his behaviour and for not tolerating my lover," Sade told the court.
She also said she could no longer cope with the marriage because her husband did not care for her and their two children as well as threat to her life and extreme jealousy on the part of the septuagenarian Jimoh.
“I am his fifth wife and I can no longer cope again. He has abandoned the children to me. in 2015 in order to take care of myself and the two children, but my husband discovered the secret love relationship.

My husband attacked my supporter with a cutlass and wounded him on the head on December 15, 2015. But the matter was later resolved at a police station.
Jimoh Ariyo has not paid my bride price and therefore, cannot claim to have married me," she concluded.
She therefore pleaded with the court to order her husband to pay her N8,000 every month for the school fees and maintenance of the two children.
The President of the court, Mrs Yemisi Ojo, adjourned the case to April 4 for judgment as the defendant was not in court.
