Oscar Pistorius Sent For Psychiatric Examination!
Breaking news says, the Paralympian will be out of court for one month for a thorough mental evaluation
We earlier reported prosecutor Gerrie Nel pushed for the troubled athlete to check in for a thorough mental evaluation because Dr. Meryl Vorster claimed the sportsman was suffering from "anxiety disorder". She also mentioned that Pistorius was depressed and guilty for murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp last February 14.
According to CNN analyst Kelly Phelps, the prosecutor's extremely unusual move is essentially an effort to maneuver the court into considering an insanity or "capacity" defense even though the athlete's legal team is not mounting one; adding that this has never been done before.
Well, the Pretoria Court judge agrees Pistorius needs to be checked and had ordered for that move. Pistorius is expected to our of court for about a month.
