“Bottom Belle” Singer Omawumi To Get An Award…In Acting!

The headline above tells the story, a surprising one. Captivating Nigerian songstress, Omawumi Megbele is gearing up to scoop an award in the movies.

The singer who’s up in her ears in musical honors and endorsement gigs, has been nominated for the Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards, GIAMA,in the category ‘Most Promising Actress’ for her role in the Yvonnne Nelson-produced ‘House of Gold’.

But to come out tops, she has to beat a stellar band of fellow nominees which include with Mary Lazarus (Desperate House girls),  Mbufung Seikeh (Ninah’s dowry), Okawa Shaznay (Cheaters), Tamara Eteimo (Desperate House girls), Itz Tiffany  (Single and married).

The award is scheduled to hold on October 19, 2013 in the US.
