Kate Henshaw Gets First Political Attack

Actress Kate Henshaw's desire to run for the House of Representatives representing Calabar unicipal/Odukpani Federal constituency has been met with stiff voices of dissent.

Nollywood veteran actress, Kate Henshaw, may still have the time to reconsider her stance to contest in the 2015 House of Representatives elections where she is hoping to represent her people of the Calabar Municipal/Odukpani Federal Constituency under the umbrella of the ruling People's Democratic Party, PDP.

Those who hold this view believe that she would not be able to survive in the murky political terrain in the country. This is coming on the heels of the attack she has been receiving barely a day after making her intentions known that she is considering herself as one of the candidates. The When the Sun Set star made the declaration while celebrating her 43rd birthday, by saying she plans to run in the election come next year.

With the announcement came the launching of website and her plans for her people if she is chosen as their candidate:

I have a strong interest and desire to serve my people and especially show that there is a better more humane way to do things when you are in a position of leadership. Putting the people first and being accountable to them as well as being accessible.

I am also very keen to promote and champion the provision of clean water, good roads and sanitation in my constituency.

One of my key areas of project focus areas will be provision of affordable education and quality health care especially for expecting and young mothers.

But barely had she put that up than traducers took her to the cleaners, with two very angry responses, one from an apparent President Goodluck Jonathan staunch supporter who goes by the name Radical GEJite and another from one that goes by the name, Sniper, calling Kate all sorts of name.
