According to a Facebook user, the deceased had died after a poisonous snake bit him but the villagers turned around to accuse the old men of being wizards and the one who turned into the snake and killed the young man.

The men were allegedly brought before the village council where the elders ordered that they should be made to confess to the crime.

The old men were reportedly beaten up mercilessly, tied up like animals and threatened with death if they did not accept that they were the ones who killed their kinsman.

Though the Facebook user did not state whether the men had admitted to the crime or what became of them thereafter, it is still sad that this kind of witch-hunting is still carried out in 2016.
