FAAN staff battered by Air Force men fights for life
The Federal Aviation Authority of Nigeria staff who was brutalized by two Air Force officers is hanging between life and death.
As was reported in Pulse.ng yesterday, Shuaibu, a staff of the Public Affairs Department of FAAN, had gotten into an altercation with the airmen over a friend whose car was being impounded for parking at a wrong place at the arrival lounge of the airport and he was beaten to a pulp by two of the officers.
Now, the victim is hanging between life and death and his relatives and colleagues are calling on the Federal Government to make sure he gets justice as the management of FAAN has been trying to sweep the case under the carpet.
A relative of Shuaibu who confirmed that his condition is getting worse following the inhuman treatment meted out to him by the Air Force personnel, said that if nothing is done, the victim may just die in vain.
A witness to the sordid event said he was forced to intervene when the Air Force men were bent on killing the victim.
"I was beaten too in an effort to drag him away from the Air Force men. Although, I did not know what really the matter was, I saw a young man in FAAN uniform being beaten. He was so brutalized that he could not even talk nor defend himself."
