Three suspects who allegedly murdered a delivery man from the e-commerce site, Jumia because of two iPhones have been arrested in Port Harcourt.

According to a journalist based in the city, Blessing Olomu, the suspects, two males, and a female, had allegedly ordered for the phone to be delivered to them and when the delivery man took the items to them, he was murdered, tied up and thrown into a soak-away pit.

Olomu who gave a graphic detail of the incident on her Twitter handle said neighbours of the suspects had noticed their suspicious movements and alerted police officers who stormed the residence and arrested them.

During interrogation, they allegedly confessed to the crime and took the police to the septic tank at the house located at Ada George area of the Garden City where the body of the delivery man was recovered.

Olomu narrated further that the delivery man had gone missing on Saturday, March 25, 2017, after he had gone to make the delivery of the phones to the suspects and had not been seen until his corpse was recovered by the police.
