Once upon a time, Nigeria was adjudged the happiest country in the world. Now, it would appear that the country is the 6th happiest in the continent of Africa.
Nigeria emerges as the 6th happiest country in Africa
GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy were among the six key factors measured to establish a global ranking of the happiest countries.

This is according to the latest World Happiness Report, compiled by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network for the United Nations.
Other factors include freedom to make life choices, generosity and perceptions of corruption.
Only five African countries rank among the top 100, and eight of the last ten overall are in Sub-Saharan Africa.
