The Nigeria based womenswear brand taps the Nollywood actress in the editorial featuring pieces with some named after her. The actress who initially shared a tease for the shoot here chose flattering fits and styles for the edit.
The Wana Sambo Nollywood Edit is the first in the new series done in collaboration with Adunni AdewaleFaye aka Adunni Ade. Before now the brand had tapped bloggers in its periodic 'Blogger's Edit' which has featured Lola OJ, Paula Okonzua and more.
Adunni Ade chose matching sets, separates, The 'Adunni' jumpsuit and more flattering, modern pieces from the brand in the edit styled chic complete with flattering makeup looks.
The brand started the editorial in January 2016 with the 'Wana Sambo Edit' where "bloggers, and style curators whose style we adore. However, this month, we switched things up and decided to marry art with fashion in the form of an actor wearing Wana Sambo pieces and showing her fans that: "Movie stars are human too" in the #WSNollywoodEdit.
Adunni Adewale is known as the "White Girl' of the Nigerian movie industry and as we all know is proud of her Yoruba background. Her talent is highly sort after in the Yoruba and English Nollywood Movies and she's a proud mom of 2 boys!
We love her style and how she's able to balance career and work, For this reason, we decided she was the perfect fit to launch this collaboration; Wana Sambo Nollywood Edit.
Clothed in separates and pairs, Adunni worked the camera like the star she is and wore each texture and style to perfection. The Adunni Jumpsuit (named after her) is one piece the Wana Sambo Woman must possess.
The Wana Sambo brand is known for our obsession with making pieces that can easily be worn as separates as good as they are worn as a pair and this collection is nothing short of brand's our ready-to-wear aesthetic and DNA.
Smoke Pipe trousers with Military Pockets, Cold Shoulder blouses and off-shoulder necklines are on full display in this collection and all pieces are timeless and can be worn in years to come should the Wana Sambo Woman keep her form.
The Wana Sambo Woman is Strong, Sexy and Exotic. I am a #WanaSamboWoman, are you?" the brand revealed in an accompanying note.
