SA Singer Lira is joined by Nigerian top celebrities Linda Ikeji, Uzo Aduba, Toke Makinwa and Dakore Akande for African Woman Magazine's special issue.

New African Woman Magazine December/January 2016 issue

Lira covers the latest December/January 2016 'African Women of the Year' issue of New African Woman Magazine.

The South African singer is joined by top Nigerian ladies who have carved a niche for themselves in the various fields; Uzo Aduba, Dakore Akande, Toke Makinwa and Linda Ikeji were all featured in 16-page special focus in the new issue.

The edition is the first ever issue celebrating game-changing African women who have helped to shape the continent in 2015 in different fields.

Lira dazzled in two glittering numbers choosing a print bikini paired with sequin kimono rocking her signature short hair and statement earrings.

In another change she chose a gold sequin top over disco pants paired with statement neckpiece and earrings wearing a crown.

The list featured some of Africa’s women of influence, recognizing women who are transcending all spheres including public office holders such as the African Union Chairperson Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and Uganda's comedy genius Anne Kansiime, as well as rising Hollywood actress Nigeria's Uzo Aduba, and the "iron lady" of African politics, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia who has been selected for winning her country's battle against Ebola.

The special report also takes a tour of various African fashion destinations in Lagos and explores what the commercial capital and the rest of the country has to offer to the intrepid traveller.

Amy Jadesimi, Managing Director of LADOL, Osayi Alile Oruene of WIMBIZ, and Chioma Ude of AFRIFF are also some of the influencers recognised in this issue.
