O'Milua unveils Spring/Summer 2015 'Ibeji' Collection

Fast rising Nigerian fashion brand; O'milua takes on textured batik fabric to create chic modern looks for her S/S 2015 collection.

Fast rising fashion brand; O'Milua has unveiled her Spring/Summer 2015 collection titled 'Ibeji' which means twins.

The brand took a modern traditional twist on the looks presented in the collection featured a lot in matching sets and bold fabrics worked up into chic styles.

The brand; O'Milua owned by Olajumoke Ademilua was recently in the top 10 designers selected for Vogue Talents, if you missed it, read it here.

On the inspiration for the collection, Olajumoke Ademilua offered, “As a Yoruba girl I wanted to capture and share my take of the research I came across that says the Yoruba people (especially the Igbo-Ora people of Oyo ) in Nigeria have the highest amount of twin birth in the world. I thought it was an amazing find and what better way to share this beautiful knowledge of my heritage than through a story telling collection using textured batik fabric I designed and had made by tie-dyers from Abeokuta“.
