The event set for Sunday 28th May 2017 at Bar Beach, V.I Lagos is part of the activities lined up for the Lagos at 50 celebration with the five designers showcasing a 10-piece collection on 50 Nigerian models.
The 50 Shades of Lagos fashion event is "a celebration of Lagos State at 50 and its achievements will not be complete without the celebration of Nigerian Fashion. 50 Shades of Design Lagos will tell the story of fashion through the ages, beginning from the 60's till date".
Lagos remains the heart and capital of Fashion (Eko for Show) in Nigeria, and a force to reckon with in the International Fashion Industry" a rep for the team shares in an email.

A documentary featuring some fashion icons who have influenced the fashion industry including Mrs Folashade Thomas-Fahm, Princess Abah Folawiyo, Dakova, Phillip Trimnell, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Mr Seye Kehinde, Mrs Adenike Ogunlesi, Mrs Funmi Ajila-Ladipo, and Mrs Nike Davies-Okundaye will also be shown at the event.
