On January 8, 2015, Africa stood still as the Glo CAF Awards ceremony held at the Eko hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. Football legends, CAF representatives, celebrities and lovers of the round leather game all came out to support football in Africa and enjoy the evening with varieties of cocktail served, good food, awesome performances and beautiful people.

Major African artiste were on stage to entertain, and trust me they brought magic. on stage include, Hugh Masekela, PSquare, Flavour, Fally Ipupa, Omawunmi, Diamond, and others.

Football legends like Austin JayJay Okocha, Victor Ikpeba, Austin Eguavon, Kalusha Bwalya, and others were present at the event. For the fourth year in a row, Ivorian professional footballer Gnégnéri Yaya Touré won the award for ‘African Footballer of the Year’ at the 2014 edition of the prestigious GLO-CAF Awards.

Other winners of the night include Nigerian footballer Asisat Oshola has won the ‘Woman Player of the Year’ for 2014, Algeria won the National Team of the year, Nigeria won the Women National Team of the Year.
