Annual event to celebrate Afrobeat legend worldwide holding this year

The Afrobeat Musical Festival, which takes the form of a carnival, consists of a series of events, which include photo exhibitions, symposia, musical performances amongst other activities to hold this 2016.

Every year the late Afrobeat legend, human rights activist and political maverick Fela Anikulapo Kuti is remembered with an event tagged Felabration. This annual musical festival is celebrated around the world with a long list of artiste performing live on stage to a massive number of fans of the great music icon.

The idea and concept of Felabration as an annual celebration of Fela’s music, life and times, originated from his eldest child Yeni who conceived it in 1998. The world’s largest Felabration takes place in Nigeria at the New Afrika Shrine (Ikeja).

Last year week-long event featured the best of entertainers drawn from a rich pool of talent in Africa. 2face, Sound Sultan,Falz, Olamide, Iyanya, Tekno, Waje, Burna Boy, Kiss Daniel, Cynthia Morgan, Adekunle Gold, Simi, amongst others.

This years edition will not be an exception as we expect another record breaking concert to celebrate the late Afrobeat legend.
