Today, and the handsome Ghanaian actor surely has cause to give thanks to God.

The movie sweetheart who has featured in hundreds of Nollywood movies, was born on 3rdFebruary, 1984, to Mr. JohnDumelo and Mrs. AntoinetteDumelo. He is the last and only boy of three children. He had his primary education at ChristtheKingInternationalSchool in Accra,Ghana, where he was selected by GAMAFilmCompany to play the role as a pupil in the movie ‘BabyThief’.

He had his secondary education at AchimotaSchool and further studied at the KwameNkrumahUniversity of Science and Technology where he read CivilEngineering. Before his advent into the movies, he was a steady feature in televisionseries in his home country, such as ‘SunCity’ and ‘AboutToWed.’

His first movie was ‘ He won JoyFM'sBestGhanaianActor in 2009 and has been nominated for Africa'sMostPromisingActor by AMMA2010 for his role in ‘HeartofMen,’ and another nomination for BestActor by Best of NollywoodAwards for his role in ‘TheMaidens.’

He won at the AfroAustralianMoviesandMusicAwards in 2011 in Australia. He also won the BestAfricanActorAward at the AfricanEntertainmentAwards in April2012 in Malaysia. He runs his own production outfit as well a thriving hospitality business.
