The 69th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards took place on Sunday, September 17, 2017.

Broadcast live from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California, Emmy Awards which honour the best US prime time TV, was hosted by Late night talk show host Stephen Colbert.

Hulu's new show "The Handmaid's Tale" emerged the best drama series, with its lead actress Elisabeth Moss winning the Outstanding drama actress.

"This is Us" Sterling K. Brown beat Anthony Hopkins (“Westword), Matthew Rhys (“The Americans”), Liev Schreiber (“Ray Donovan”), Kevin Spacey (“House of Cards”) and Milo Ventimiglia (“This Is Us”) to win the award.
