Readers Say President Jonathan Should Not Withdraw From 2015 Race

Our Pulse Community poll voters say President Goodluck Jonathan should go ahead to participate in the 2015 presidential election with 59.3% supporting him to go ahead.

When President Goodluck Jonathan declared his intention to run for the 2015 presidential election on Tuesday 11 November, the opposition All Peoples Progressive Congress, APC, went on the attack, saying that the President should withdraw from the race because he is not sensitive to the plight of those killed in Boko Haram attacks over the years especially the bomb blast in a Yobe secondary school the day before the declaration.

On our community poll yesterday, we threw out this question: Should President Goodluck Jonathan withdraw from the 2015 elections over Boko Haram?

We had loads of our readers voting for or against the call for the President to withdraw from the race.

39.3% of such voters believe Jonathan should take the advice of the APC and withdraw from the race while a whopping 60.7% voted that he has no reason to withdraw from the 2015 presidential election race.
