Osinbajo who is both the Vice president of Nigeria and a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), shared the news of the upcoming nuptials via his social media accounts.
Announcing the news of his eldest daughter, Damilola Osinbajo’s wedding to Shamsideen Oluwaseun Bakare, he wrote:

The news of the wedding caused some to call out the church for allowing Osinbajo’s daughter to marry the son of Muslim billionaire businesswoman, Hajia Bola Shagaya.
However, TVC News, maintains that the groom is not a Muslim.
He reportedly converted to Christianity and is now a Sunday school teacher.

While congratulating the couple, Daddy Freeze pointed out that Bakare’s name appears to be a Muslim one.
The convener of the FreeTheSheeple Movement went on to accuse Osinabajo’s church, RCCG, of double standards.

“His name seems Muslim… If it’s normal church rats that want to marry Muslims, they won’t agree o… The will go as far as saying “Allah is not God” and say “let’s not be unequally yoked”. But with the political pedigree involved here, I’m sure even the GO and his Mummy will attend.”
The wedding is slated for March 15 and 17, 2018.
