Reportedly, over 500 hundred people were injured and 59 were killed in the massacre that has already been declared as the worst in the country’s history.
This tragedy has thrown the entire country and world into a deep state of mourning. Memorials and vigils are currently being held for the dead victims.
In the midst of this morning, CNN Money has reported that stock prices for firearm companies have gone up.
Apparently, the Sunday tragedy made people go out and buy more guns!!! So, Stephen Paddock’s decision to kill people with guns made people go out to get more of the weapons that resulted in the death of 59 people???
By the way, buying a rifle in America is really easy. You just walk into a supermarket and get one. All you need is a license and the need to worship the great god that is the gun.
The crazy thing is that it is actually easier to buy a rifle than a lot of things. According to Mashable, it is more difficult to buy a puppy than it is to buy a rifle. This is all thanks to the gun control laws.
Meanwhile, the SWAT team that stormed the gunman’s hotel room found 23 guns. These include the notorious AK-47 and an AR-15 rifle, which is the most popular rifle used in Mass shootings in America.
19 extra firearms, explosives and thousands of ammunition were found at Paddock’s home. This means the gunman had 42 weapons in total in his possession.

The really scary thing about these guns is that they were modified with a deadly device known as a “bump stock.”
According to officials, this device gives ordinary firearms the ability to fire hundreds of rounds per minute. All hail the gun god!
This explains why concertgoers heard what sounded like a machine gun.
Megan Kearny, a witness at the massacre, told NBC News that, “All of a sudden we heard what sounded like a machine gun and people just started screaming that they were hit and to get down.
“About every 20 seconds after that you would hear a round of machine guns, and people just dropping, hundreds of bodies over the ground.”
As expected, even this unimaginable device, which advocates say is used for entertainment, has been defended by true believers.
Speaking with The Associated Press, Erich Pratt, the executive director of Gun Owners of America, made excuses for the bump stock devices.
He said, “Ultimately, when Congress… looks at this, they’ll start asking questions about why anybody needs this, and I think the answer is we have a Bill of Rights and not a Bill of Needs.”
This has not stopped a lot of people from complaining about the terrible gun control laws and why they need to be changed.
Huffington Post reports that Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) wants bump stock modifications and other devices like that to be banned.
However, others are saying that this is not the right time to talk about changing gun laws. The excuse is that talking about gun laws right now is insensitive to people that are mourning their recently departed ones.
To these people, Inslee said,“ I’m done waiting for the ‘right time’ to talk about it,”. “The ‘can’t talk about it now’ crowd is killing us.”
One can only hope that this senseless tragedy will be a wake-up call to Americans to change what they worship.
