Timaya takes us down memory lane to a time when he was not a superstar.

Throwback picture of Timaya at an audition

Today (January 7), music star Timaya shared a throwback picture of him at a talent hunt competition years ago on his Instagram.

In the caption of the picture he wrote "U must always see your self as the strongest, always see your self as the greatest, believe in your self and have faith in GOD. Yes that was me in a talent hunt so many years back."

Timaya looks very young in the throwback picture, and it might take you a while for you to recognize the Dem Mama singer.

On December 19, Timaya thrilled fans as he performed at the ‘I Concur’ concert. The event which was put together by Grafton Records, home to singer Mr 2Kay, came up at The HUB, a 3,000 capacity venue along Odili Road, Port Harcourt.

Timaya, who hails from Bayelsa, started his career in PH and held the concert as a form of giving back to his people. He earlier shared this before the start of the event.

“This concert means a lot to me. I have been doing shows in PH City, but this one will be different because it is my own concert and if you look at it, I could have done it in Lagos, but me and my guys at Grafton thought it would be a honour to have this party for my people in Port Harcourt,” Timaya said.

The concert featured top performances from a number of top Nigerian stars including Don Jazzy, who led a powerful line up of top acts which include KceeIce PrinceOreziDuncan Mighty, Knowledge and Grafton Entertainment’s lead act, Mr 2kay.
