Singer forced to cancel Grammy's performance, find out why

TMZ reports that the highly anticipated Grammy performance had been cancelled after Rihanna had come down with bronchitis a couple of days to the event.

A rep for the 27-yr-old singer reportedly revealed to TMZ that the singer had tried using antibiotics for the last 3 days as a treatment course, all to no avail.

The rep added, saying:

"Rihanna was then examined by a doctor at her rehearsal Monday, who decided to put her on vocal rest for 48 hours because the singer was at risk of damaging her vocal cords. The singer arrived at the Staples Center but did not walk the red carpet. She went to rehearsals and left."

OtherSources revealed that Riri had been struggling with the illness for a while and is still on medication.

An on site doctor had reportedly suggested that she cancel the performance which could potentially damage her vocals, permanently.

TMZ reports that Rihanna who had wanted to go on with the performance, had reluctantly obeyed her doctors, leaving The Staples Center and heading back home.
