Pop star falls off stage at Brit Awards 2015

Madonna fell off the stage during her performance at the 2015 Brit Awards which held on Wednesday, February 25, 2014.

The singer apparently tumbled down a set of stairs, landing awkwardly, after a dancer tried removing a cape she was wearing at the time of her performance.

The 56-year-old singer however recovered fast enough and returned to the stage to finish her song, ‘Living for love’.

"Nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up. Thanks for your good wishes!”, she wrote on social network site Instagram, citing the lyrics to her song.

Madonna later released a statement, saying she was ‘fine’ and then explaining that her cape had been ‘tied too tight’.

The BRIT Awards took place at The O2 Arena with the likes of Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran winning.
