Actor bags Netflix scholarship, reportedly moving to the US

EbonyLife TV network reports that the "Beasts of No Nation" star is set move to the USA from Ghana, where, he will be attending school via the scholarship from Netflix.

 

The scholarship move by Netflix is understandable as the company is also responsible for the release of the movie which blew the teen into limelight.

The young Thespian as Attah is now fondly referred to, has received much deserved accolades for his performance in the film, which also includes the Best Actor award at the recently concluded Spirit Awards 2016.

The move is set to mark a major step in his burgeoning career, opening bigger opportunities  for the up and coming talent.

Although Attah is unattached to any other film or TV series; he has featured in a short film titled "Out of the Village," directed by Jonathan Stein, with "X-Men" director, Bryan Singer as one of its producers.

The 16-minute film tells the story of a brother and his sister during the Ebola outbreak is currently touring the international film festival circuit, raising over $20,000 via a Kickstarter campaign last year in Ghana and is bound to get global recognition with the new fame coming Attah's way.
