Pulse Nigeria reported that Paul Walker’s 16-year-old daughter, Meadow Walker, is suing Porsche.
Automobile manufacturer might lose the lawsuit filed by Paul Walker's daughter- reports say
New reports show that Paul Walker's daughter might win the lawsuit against Porsche.
Her lawsuit claims that "Porsche took safety shortcuts while loading the with a 605-horsepower engine capable of up to 205 mph and marketing it as a race car licensed for the road."
Porsche responded by calling it false.
"We believe the authorities' reports in this case clearly establish that this tragic crash resulted from reckless driving and excessive speed."
Unfortunately for the automaker, new evidence has shown up, meaning that Meadow might have a case after all.
In the past, there have been two similar cases against Porsche and the car manufacturing company lost both.
The second case involved McClellan, who sued Porsche for a wrongful death claim, just like Meadow.
While the car involved was different, a 911 Turbo, he won with this argument.
"If an automaker knowingly does not use the technology it has available – something that may be standard on many other cars, especially when it relates to high performance vehicles – then that automaker should be liable in any injuries or deaths that occur due to this oversight."
Based on this legal precedent, Porsche could lose because Paul Walker's, a Carrera GT, did not have two things that other models made in that era had: stability control and adequate safety to protect its occupants.
