Lincoln unveils 2017 masterpiece with wings! [PHOTO]
Lincoln Motor Company has debuted it's 2017 Navigator Concept, and it comes with gull wings.
Lincoln president, Kumar Galhotra, shared details of the bold design in an interview with The Verge.
"It was a very interesting challenge for the design team. The design language is all about elegant beauty. To take a vehicle that has that much volume and to make it elegant is a fun challenge," he said.
Features include different drive modes, which provide a better ride and handling experience, a special lighting sequence that welcomes passengers on board, Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, a 360-degree camera, enhanced parking assist, and a lane-keeping system.
The interior, described as the most spacious ever built, has six Lincoln-patented Perfect Position Seats, these can be adjusted 30 ways for all body types, independent deployable thigh supports for the driver's seat, a custom wardrobe management system, and head restraint monitors complete with Wi-Fi connectivity.
Huge panel screens and an intercom system have been built in too.
According to The Verge, the company's plan is for passengers to play games against each other inside the car, while the intercom system gives people, in the third row, the opportunity to have normal conversations with people in the front.
Despite all of these amazing details, the most distinguishing are the gull wings, which look a lot like the doors on Tesla Model X.
Lincoln is uncertain a lot of things, including which designs will make it to production.
However, the production version should be ready in a year.
