According to Vanguard, they were officially introduced into Nigeria by Coscharis Motors, Ford's authorized dealer.

Speaking at the debut on Tuesday (May 10, 2016), the Sales Manager, Mr. Fabian Anuforo, gave details of the 2016 Explorer, adding that it has been one of the highest selling Ford models in the country.

“Powering the vehicle is a 3.5-litre turbocharged V6 (EcoBoost) engine that outputs 365 hp (272 kW) and 350 lb-ft (475 Nm) of torque. This powertrain should be familiar to Ford F-150 fans as the most popular option in those trucks,” he said.
