This led to the death of the minister, along with his wife and son.
This could have been prevented if the driver knew the tyre’s expiry date or that tyre bursts are also caused byover-speeding, and low or high tire pressure.
Just like most things, car tyres wear out after a period of time, about four years.

However, most people do not know how to avoid tyre bursts because they have no idea how to check for the expiry date of tyres.
Car tyres come with the date of manufacture, represented by a four digit number.
The week of manufacture is shown by the first two digits, while the last digits stand for the year.
In the picture below, the year of manufacture is *0305*.
This means the tyre will expire by the third week of 2009, four years after 2005, the manufactured date.
