Wizkid is going to break a lot of fans heart with the news of his planned concert in Nigeria being postponed due to health reasons.
Putting up the post on Twitter, the Star singer explains that doctors have advised him strongly to cancel all rest of scheduled dates for the year and January 2017 so as not to breakdown after a very eventful year.
Wiz had initially planned a December 30th Lagos concert at the Eko Convention Centre and a January 1st concert at the New Afrika Shrine.
He also apparently had a planned Ugandan concert which has now been put off.
This development will be affecting some other events where the singer has been billed to headline in Nigeria such as the annual rhythm unplugged concert scheduled for December 23, 2016.
Flytime Entertainment, (conveners of the annual Rhythm Unplugged event) promoters and organisers of Wizkid's Starboy homecoming concert has released an official statement to this effect.
“It is with deep regret that Flytime Promotions has had to postpone the Wizkid Starboy Homecoming Concert that was scheduled for Friday, December 30, 2016.
Due to Wizkid's touring schedule, for the past two years, his doctors have advised, and we agree, that postponing the concert is the best thing to do. Flytime celebrates Wizkid for his Nigerian and International achievements in 2016.
Though the news will be heartbreaking for his fans, Flytime promises that the rescheduled concert will be bigger and better than what was originally planned. Flytime wishes Wizkid a speedy and healthy recovery."
