Darey Art Alade has finally released a new album titled “Naked” today, Tuesday, October 13, 2015.
The announcement of the debut of his fifth studio album was made by the R&B singer at Cool FM 96.9 in Lagos this morning.
He also premiered a new song off the album titled 'Orekelewa' while at the radio station.
The 13-track album made up of afrobeat, soul and R&B features collaborations with Asa, YBNL Nation rapper Olamide and multiple Grammy award winning Soweto Gospel Choir. Almost all the songs on the album were produced by Oscar Heman-Ackah. There are also production contributions from Cobhams Asuquo and Vtek and Dare himself.
"From the start of this recording project, my plan was to create music that will connect with people on a deep personal level, stand the test of time and still be fun", Darey said of the new album.
"The whole album is a journey that I hope my fans enjoy.
"Over the course of my career, I have recorded hundreds of songs but I can truthfully say that what I feel is the best music I have recorded in my life is on this album. “Naked” is more than just an album title.
"It encapsulates everything that I wanted this album to be about. I wanted my fans to get to know me and feel me in a very close and personal way", the singer explained.
The ‘Escalade’ crooner gave fans a taste of his album in July when he released 'featuring Soweto Group choir and ' featuring Olamide.

Darey’s album was originally expected in August. Two days ago the singer posed nude to promote his new album.
Before getting naked, over the last couple of days the award-winning artist dropped hints for his fans on social media. He posted throwback pictures of himself and shared pictures of his family using the hashtag #DareyNaked.
The gentleman entertainer gained recognition on the music scene following his appearance on Project Fame Academy in 2004.
His album discography includes "From Me To You" (2006), "unDAREYted" (2009) and "Double Dare" (2011).
