Flipping through the pages of this book, I soon realise that Amara's healthy living tip isn't otherwise known as "fat people's health guide" but a healthy living tip for all.

Healthy living is most often associated with weight loss, especially in this part of the world.

Picking up this book, I had the feeling or premonition that I was going to read contents that centred around, 'how to lose weight with these tips' or 'exercise tips to help you lose weight fast and achieve the best body shape and size of your choice.' This feeling, I guess, came from the title of the book which says, "Healthy living with Amara Kanu; still a size 10 even after 3 children." Surprisingly, it wasn't.

Of course, it's no news that healthy living is related to weight loss because excess cholesterol in the body can lead to obesity which in turn poses a lot of health problem.

Anyway, flipping through the pages of this beautiful book, I soon realise that Amara's healthy living tip isn't otherwise known as "fat people's health guide" but a healthy living tip for all.

"Healthy living with Amara Kanu" isn't one of those books that bore the life out of you. Amara, the ex-professional footballer, Kanu Nwankwo's wife, had her hands on tons of colours in this book, from chapter to chapter, leaving you attracted to every chapter of the book. I mean, why wouldn't anyone want to finish reading such an interesting little book in one sitting?

I remember stumbling on some old newspapers and magazines some days ago and I wondered just how people brought themselves to read these papers. They barely had pictures in them. Just some old boring write-ups that me garnering a whole lot of courage to read them from page to page.

"Healthy living with Amara Kanu" had a good number of pictorial illustrations that demonstrated just how each tip (mostly exercise and feeding habit) should be followed.

With no particular food table outlined in the book (which often makes healthy living seem impossible or scary), Amara Kanu's healthy living guide exposes one to the many benefits of consciously living healthy plus the simplicity required in doing this.

With an introduction into why and how she started her life's journey as a fitness coach, Amara gives us a good reason to believe in her and her tips, not just because she's a size 10 even after 3 kids but because she's got the understanding of how to live a healthy life.
